Have you visited Alice’s Garden in the city of Milwaukee yet?
It’s a two acre urban community garden committed to urban agriculture, regenerative farming, and community cultural development.
It is located on land that used to be a part of the Undergound Railroad.
You can stop by to view the gardens and colorful art, have a picnic, or lend a hand.
Walk the beautiful living labyrinth populated by healing plants and herbs. There is also a re-creation of the type of garden that used to be tended by slaves.
Don’t miss the colorful mural on the west end of the garden that recognizes African-Americans who were part of the Underground Railroad in Milwaukee.
