In case you needed something to celebrate, this Friday, April 14th, 2023 is Milwaukee Day. (Get it? 4/14).
We found five great ways to celebrate with your family. Happy Milwaukee Day, everyone!
1. Sip on Craft Soda
Sprecher Brewery is offering discounted brewery tours in honor of Milwaukee Day. Tours are casual and family-friendly, and they last about 45 minutes.
You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the factory and learn about how they make their craft beers and sodas. At the end, you get to have a taste (four tasted of beer, and unlimited soda!).
The Brewery will be also be selling its award-winning Root Beer with a special commemorative, limited edition 414 label for $5 a four-pack, a Sprecher baseball cap featuring the Milwaukee flag, and with a 414 Root Beer four-pack for just $22.
Plus, the first 40 people who purchase a Sprecher cap with a four-pack of root beer will receive a custom magnet that matches the hat’s patch.
These items can only be purchased while supplies last on Friday, April 14 from 11 am to 7 pm in Sprecher Brewery’s gift shop located at 701 W Glendale Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53209.
2. Get a Free Cookie
The UW Credit Union is giving away free sugar cookies on 414 Day to anyone who visits a Milwaukee-area branch, including Wauwatosa, Mayfair, Franklin, UW-Milwaukee, Bayshore and more. The cookies are from Edible Impressions, a local, woman-owned company.
3. Head to the Harley Museum
The Harley Davidson Museum is offering admission for just $4.14 on Milwaukee Day. The museum is great for the whole family.
There’s plenty of hands-on fun for kids, and you can sit on the bikes at the end in the Experience Gallery.
Also on display is their first-ever bilingual exhibit, “My Papi has a Motorcycle” / “Mi papi tiene una moto.” Based on the beloved children’s book of the same name, the exhibit shares a story of family bonds strengthened by the simple act of taking a joy ride on a two-wheeled machine.
With brilliant, colorful art from Peña paired with heart-warming stories from Southern Californian riding families, “My Papi has a Motorcycle” will draw smiles from kids of all ages. It’s an exhibit that focuses not only on where you can take a motorcycle, but where a two-up motorcycle ride with a loved one can take you.
They’ll be open late until 8:00 p.m. There will also be deals at the Motor Bar & Restaurant and in The Shop.
4. Get a Neighborhood Poster
Historic Milwaukee will be selling their iconic Milwaukee neighborhood posters for just $4.14 on Milwaukee Day.
