In our Little Mondays program, we’ll explore DIY activities that we’ll build at the cafe and can expanded upon at home. Parents and kids will each pickup new ways to create fun ways to play together. With our open-ended activities, these programs are great for siblings to join too. Age-appropriate siblings must have their own tickets to participate. In this program, you can expect a different activity each week (see details below).
This week, we’re creating our taste-safe Pumpkin Pie Playdough recipe. Kids and parents will combine kitchen ingredients to create our Pumpkin Pie Playdough in class and will be provided ONE batch premixed. Our playdough recipe is made with kitchen ingredients to create a soft, kid-friendly, smell-great mix. We’ll also add some additional play materials to enhance our playdough experience. Families will take the Pumpkin Pie Playdough home with some extra materials at the end of class.*Our Pumpkin Pie Playdough recipe is TASTE-SAFE and DOES NOT require a stove. We do use flour.*
This week, we’re creating Witch’s Brew Sensory Bins. Working together, kids and parents will create our dyed base and will add thoughtful materials. We’ll also play with our Witch’s Brew Sensory Bin – using the accessories we picked – during class. Families will take the sensory bins home with some play sheets at the end of class.*We will be dying our base in this program*
This week, we’re creating Harvest Textures Sensory Bins. Working together, kids and parents will create their own sensory bins using a themed base and thoughtful materials. This time of year is full of leaves, acorn, gourds, and more – we’ll have it all!! We’ll also play with our Harvest Textures Sensory Bin – using the accessories we picked – during class. Families will take the sensory bins home with some play sheets at the end of class.
This week, we’re creating our Apple Pie Cloud Dough recipe. Working together, kids and parents will combine kitchen ingredients to create this seasonal favorite. Behaving similar to snow, we’ll be able to sculpt our Apple Pie Cloud Dough into mini pies and more. We’ll also play with our apple pie cloud dough – using some of our fun tools. Families will take the apple pie cloud dough home with some play sheets at the end of class.
Ideal ages : 18 months – 5 years old (with caregiver, siblings welcome with their own tickets)
Some classes include swallowable materials – so use your judgement when signing up!
Each program is private (aka. open play is closed during class). Each week also includes playtime. For our sensory activities, we’ll create the sensory material in class and caregivers will take the material home to continue playing. We’ll also provide each guest with our recipe so you can create it again at home. Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred.
